ABEL Mobilfunk, Atoma-Multipond and cts: SMEs from the region 18 honored
Munich. SMEs are regarded as the backbone of the Bavarian economy. To draw attention to this fact, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs honors the 50 fastest-growing SMEs in Bavaria every year with the “Bavaria’s Best 50” award – this year for the 22nd time. The award-winning companies convinced an auditing company as an independent juror with an above-average increase in turnover and the number of employees, as the ministry writes in a press release. “The award is an appreciation of the economic and social importance of SMEs,” Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger (Free Voters) is quoted as saying. “All companies make an important contribution to future competitiveness with their technical expertise and skills,” he continued.
Three companies from planning region 18 are among the honorees. One of them is cts GmbH in Burgkirchen (Altötting district). The company, which specializes in automation technology, is delighted: “Our thanks go to the cts employees, whose commitment has made this growth and this award possible. We are very proud of our team and together we will continue to grow successfully,” explains Hans Gehringer, Managing Director of cts GmbH. He promises to keep the company on course for growth in the future and to continue hiring. The new production hall that is being built in the Hecketstall industrial estate in Burgkirchen (we reported) shows that investments are continuing to be made in the region. Several million euros are being invested in the new building, which is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Abel Mobilfunk GmbH & Co KG, the second award-winning company from the region, received the prize for the third time. In Eggelsberg in the district of Traunstein, where the company is based, the repeated award confirms that the company is on the right track. Abel Mobilfunk is a company of the Abel Group, which emerged from the Abel company founded in 1912 and now employs over 900 internal and external staff. In Hermann Abel’s view, they are the

The special machine manufacturer for weighing systems in the food and non-food sectors employs 420 people worldwide. – hw
