Coating

Fully automatic flame coating of plastic profiles

The coating of small parts is an important topic in the household appliance industry. A flexible flame coating is necessary, for example, in the bonding process of glass to plastic profiles. In the case of stoves, ovens and steam stoves, the sealing glass front must adhere securely to the plastic profiles of the door to prevent the pane from falling out. A special adhesive primer is therefore applied to the profiles. This process is often still carried out manually.

Details

cts has developed a system that handles this process fully automatically. A wide variety of tray inlay shapes and thus profiles in different sizes and shapes can be processed. The cell is prepared for connection to a central exhaust unit to properly remove the vapors generated.

Process of automatic coating

The plastic profiles are fed in the form of tray stacks, which are destacked by the cts DeStacker unit and fed individually to the treatment unit.By processing whole stacks, a high autonomy time of the plant is achieved. The system has a significantly smaller footprint than long continuous conveyor lines.

The separated tray is now coated within the treatment unit. Before ejection, the treated tray can be tested in a separate test unit by spectral analysis. be reviewed.

The tray is marked by means of UV markers, optionally we also offer the possibility of marking with QR codes. The batch and process data are saved directly at the tray and made available to the further processing systems.

The treated and marked trays are then transferred to the cts stacker unit, which stacks the trays on top of each other again and makes them available for collection.
